If The Writings On The Wall, Thermsteam Can Remove It All

Image
While graffiti is a statement of expression for some, for others it is an unwanted, unsightly mess. Deeply i ngrained paint is one of the toughest things to remove from walls, buildings and alleyways. Porous surfaces such as brick and stone tend to absorb solvent-based spray paints, which usually require pressure washing or sandblasting to remove the offending artwork. Paint thinners and chemicals seem like a cheap and tempting alternative to the above methods, however, they tend to spread the paint and make exacerbate the problem, whereas many narrow tipped pressure jet washers can leave a visible outline of the graffiti, and sandblasters can permanently mark the surface if the tip isn't moved over the graffiti constantly. This is why our Thermasteam trailer mounted steam cleaner and hot water jet wash stands head and shoulders above the competition. The revolutionary ThermaSteam removes graffiti quickly and easily without the need for using harmful chemicals and solvents, whi...

The Planet-Loving Way to Remove Graffiti & Gum

Image
The Planet-Loving Way to Remove Graffiti & Gum As the way, we treat our planet is becoming more of a problematic the topic each year, it’s important that we all do our bit to be kinder to our home; it is the only one we have after all. One of the issues that we, as a society, need to address, is the way that we approach cleaning. We all love that feeling of getting stuck in and our hands dirty with a good clean and sometimes it’s absolutely necessary, but do we ever stop and really think about all of the harmful chemicals and solvents that we’re voluntarily polluting our air and water supply with? Graffiti removal is one of these necessities . Of course, nobody likes to see vulgar words or images largely spray painted on to buildings, bridges or statues, nor does anyone want to see it.  So, what do we do? We load up our equipment with our noxious graffiti removal spray in hand and get to work scrubbing it down to the brick-like it never happened. But it did happen...

And the winner is... ThermaSteam!

Image
This time last week the Morclean team were busy busy busy chatting with Cleaning Show 2019 go-ers about our brand new ThermaSteam. So let's reflect on the show... Usually, we bring the BinWash along with us to the show but this year was a little different. This year we brought our new machine, the ThermaSteam, which caught quite a bit of attention due to the mesmerizing video we had playing in the background, showing off exactly what the ThermaSteam can do.  Monday: Get up and Set up! Monday was set up day and Ian, Keith and Peter were tasked with the job of pulling the stand together and making it look pretty for the busy days ahead. Getting the TV position just right, meticulously sticking the stand graphics up on the boards and making sure the ThermaSteam was looking its best. It was a hectic day, to say the least, with all the other exhibitors doing the same but everything ran smoothly and the set up was a success with no issues.  Hats off to the team at...

Graffiti removal on the underground - Vapour Steam Clean

Image
Morclean are always looking for new avenues and opportunities to market their vapour steam cleaning machines.  Something  that has been successful of late is the use of a Vapour Steam cleaner for graffiti removal in subways.  Morclean have supplied Steam Cleaners to contractors for cleaning graffiti in London Underground as well as Subways. The process uses much less water than the conventional method of high pressure cleaning (5 Ltrs per hour as opposed to 15 Ltrs per minute). The process in fact proved that graffiti could be removed by using much less detergent or chemicals. Graffiti in some of the subways was successfully removed by a steam cleaner without the use of solvents. Posted today by Jodie (Marketing Assistant) Contact; jodie@morclean.com

Clean Green Graffiti

Image
A couple of weeks ago I did a blog post introducing you to a new 'clean' graffiti method - reverse graffiti. The method consists of using a stencil over either a pavement, wall or other 'dirty' surface and pressure washing your company's logo or a message/picture of some sort onto it. The method is widely used by company's all over the world as it is a legal form of graffiti. We were going to experiment with the method but due to the ever changing weather conditions, it hasn't been particularly safe to be doing so! So, here's a little something I created on Photoshop to give you a good idea of how this marketing technique can be used effectively! Morclean specialise in industrial and commercial cleaning equipment including vacs, air vacs, h-type vacs, litter picking vacs, vapour steam, pressure washers, steam cleaners, bin wash trailers, graffiti and gum removal machines, housings and kiosks and many other areas including vehicle valeting bays and ...

Ironic Graffiti Art... moving on from the politics...

Image
As soon as I stumbled across this story I knew it would be one you would all like to hear. We all know that graffiti can be unsightly, and sometimes just inappropriate but there are some graffiti artists out there worthy of a wall or two to brighten up or spread a  message - people like Banksy would be the most obvious choice, but there are other graffiti artists out there including an artist by the name of DS. Graffiti artist DS hit the news earlier this year with his Hello Kitty 'turned bad' creations. After he stenciled one onto a building in London, only to see it removed less than 24 hours later, he decided to spread a bit of graffiti irony. He decided to graffiti the same wall with the image of the graffiti remover... making this graffiti remover infamous! (photos are copyright of the Caters News Agency - we do not own any of the photographs) A really clever idea and I'm sure the remover was flattered... we're not too sure how quickly he removed this peice, ...

Reverse Graffiti - A New 'Clean' Marketing Trend

Image
Most people have heard the word graffiti but not many will of heard of the new trend in art and marketing which is reverse graffiti. Unlike the traditional graffiti methods which use spray paint and other types of paints, solvents, inks, anything which will leave a mark and be a nuisance to take off (most people need professional cleaning solutions such as  http://www.morclean.com/grafitti-removal-equipment.html ), reverse graffiti uses a ‘cleaning’ method, and as you all know, we’re all about cleaning! Many large corporations have caught onto this trend firstly because there is no law against the cleaning of buildings, and secondly because it’s a pretty cheap way of marketing and brand awareness. You can see below, a dirty pavement or wall has been used, a stencil applied and simply the logo has been ‘washed on’ … maybe the Morclean Pressure washers were used http://www.morclean.com/industrial-high-pressure-washers-index.html ? A pretty cool and imaginative use of di...
