Commissioning of final fix at project Caenby Corner

Our installation expert, Ian Bridges, is commissioning the final fix and fit at Caenby Corner this week, which  consists of a reclaim system, a  zone injection system, a  10cum3 wash bay 3 stage interceptor, a  ST2000 silt trap, a d iverter chamber with air, and a  10cum3 storage tank. Along with the installation of t wo oil-fired static hot water jet washers, two  user posts to install on wash pad s, a  fitted-out plant room, two   remotes for the user posts, and two hose guns and a lance.  This final phase includes commissioning the equipment, terminating pipework and connections, sealing joints, capping off any ducting, and making good. We had one of our GreyBoxes all packaged up for delivery to a high-end car dealer in Dartford City last week. "The Morclean GreyBox is a surface-mounted system that replaces the need for an underground permanent interceptor" This neat little piece of equipment was part of a problem-solving project for the world-renowned car company.   As there is no drainage on their existing wash pad, they were stuck, especially with the foul drain sitting 60m away from the wash pad. Moreover, there was no space beneath the pad to fit traditional items.  They approached us for a solution, and we enthusiastically designed and supplied a sump and pump chamber, with the grey box 'partial water treatment system' providing the final piece of the puzzle. Work Begins on Project Langar for New Wash Bay Facility

Another new wash bay project starts today, this time in Langar, Nottinghamshire, for a well-known company  that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, to name a few.   The  Morclean  team are currently marking out and saw cutting on-site, to follow with excavating for a silt trap, pump chamber, interceptor, and plant room. The wash bay is to be kerbed all round and e nveloped to a 2000mm x 500mm x 1000mm silt trap. We will also be supplying and installing a 650mm x 1000mm PC2000 pump chamber, and the s ilt trap is to pumped to an above-ground interceptor -  all including  the moving and refitting of the GRP plant room and interceptor from their previous depot. Alongside this we will be installing 110mm ducts for power and water,  110mm ducts for 2 hose reels, a trench to manhole for drain outlet, and we are to then backfill and make good, and remove all waste from site. Successful Wash Pad Installation for Local 4x4 Vehicle Styling Company

The Clay Cross based business converts 4x4 pickups [mainly Ford Ranger], specialising in seat conversions, fitting body kits, numberplate centralisation, and so on. The company needed a compliant wash bay that met with statutory guidelines for wastewater discharge. After the  Morclean team had assessed the site, they cracked on with designing a sustainable, efficient, and cost-saving wash bay. A new slab was laid and Morclean installed the wash screens, along with the supply and installation of a  silt trap and interceptor to collect larger debris and control silt deposits. Looking to the Future in North East Wales

We' re already lining up projects for Spring 2021,  and are extremely excited about our new and upcoming vehicle wash project in Denbighshire, for the washing of  refuse trucks and council vehicles. This project will involve a whole host of works, including supply, civils, installation of a water management system (silt trap, GRP plant room, advanced media filter), a cleaning system (twin hot water cabinet jet wash, user posts, hose reels), and below ground items (interceptor, silt trap, buffer tank), alongside ongoing services. Above and below are examples of a past project we undertook, which is very similar to the works that will be undertaken in North East Wales. Our  Morclean H&S Station will also be delivered to the site prior to the start of the works... Phew, what a welcome challenge to hopefully a more positive year for everyone.  Roll on 2021!  

Morclean Secures New Wash Pad and Interceptor installation Project for the Washing of Heavy Duty Generators

Always looking ahead, we have another exciting new project penciled in for a mid-October start.  A builders yard in Worcester, which is currently vacated, is set to be a brand new location for a power generator firm that will be washing heavy-duty generators.  Once the site survey has been undertaken, Morclean is to saw cut and excavate for the installation of a silt trap, interceptor, and wash pad, with s ome of these elements being placed above-ground to reduce excavation. Lorry Wash Facility Completed in Cheshire

The Morclean team have recently completed an impressive, new lorry wash facility in Nantwich, Cheshire. The wash system comprises of water recycling, silt traps, interceptors and water storage tanks, whilst contained within a purpose-built gantry with screens to allow access to the tops of vehicles when being washed, whilst containing over-spray. The project has been completed in 3 phases; civil works, steelworks and installing the systems. Phase 1: Civil Works To kickstart the exciting project, civil works are carried out to prepare for the installation of the underground tanks.  The first port of call was marking out the site. This had to be meticulously done to ensure the dimensions are absolutely perfect before pecking out the existing concrete. Once the concrete had been removed, it was time to excavate for a 6CuM3 Silt Trap and a 10CuM3 Interceptor tank. New Silt Trap range released

Last year we announced that our range of silt traps would be expanding to offer our customers more variety in sizes. We are pleased to announce that the new range is now live and ready for order. The new range brings a host of new advantages including D400 gratings and a wider variety of sizes. The main advantage is their strength and the ability to install them in a granular surround instead of concrete. This saves money when it comes to civil costs. We've standardised production of this range to avoid building to order and so that we can keep more stock and easily supply on demand. The Silt Guard is an extremely robust range of silt traps that can be installed in granular surround if required. The range features two smaller silt traps at 275 litres and 450 litres silt retention and a larger 1000 litre unit. The New Silt Trap Range

Silt traps are designed to provide a sump for collecting wash water and is typically placed in the centre of a wash bay so that the wash water falls to one collection point. Placed prior to the interceptor a silt trap collects  larger debris and can be accessed via a hinged  galvanised grating for easy manual emptying.  As well as a collection point the silt trap collects  debris and prevents excessive silt entering  the interceptor. The water from the wash bay can be collected in  a silt trap. The GRP structure contains the water  and is fitted with an outlet for connection to a mains foul drain via the interceptor. The capacity of this silt trap is suitable for lighter use and the cleaning of most vehicles.
