WashPad delivered to Morclean HQ before its journey to Bangkok!

Image
WashPad delivered to Morclean HQ before its long journey to Bangkok The guys here at Morclean have been out in the yard enjoying this week, enjoying the beautiful weather whilst it lasts! Having the gorgeous sun beating down makes unloading big deliveries a lot easier than if it was raining... like it usually is!! This week, we've had a Morclean WashPad delivered to our headquarters in Chesterfield to make sure it's all perfect before it begins its long journey to Bangkok.  We've stuck KC next to them for size reference...  The Morclean WashPad is a solution to heavy-duty environments where a high volume of vehicles needs to be washed. The WashPad is a surface mounted system that collects wastewater when washing vehicles.  This system is ideal for leasehold or sensitive sites, a multi-story car park, for instance, where ground works are not practical or just not possible. Similarly, we offer Inflatable Vehicle Wash Pad Systems, which are flexible and hardwe...

Lorry Wash Facility Completed in Cheshire

Image
The Morclean team have recently completed an impressive, new lorry wash facility in Nantwich, Cheshire. The wash system comprises of water recycling, silt traps, interceptors and water storage tanks, whilst contained within a purpose-built gantry with screens to allow access to the tops of vehicles when being washed, whilst containing over-spray. The project has been completed in 3 phases; civil works, steelworks and installing the systems. Phase 1: Civil Works To kickstart the exciting project, civil works are carried out to prepare for the installation of the underground tanks.  The first port of call was marking out the site. This had to be meticulously done to ensure the dimensions are absolutely perfect before pecking out the existing concrete. Once the concrete had been removed, it was time to excavate for a 6CuM3 Silt Trap and a 10CuM3 Interceptor tank. In order to make room for the below ground interceptor and silt trap, approximately 100 tonnes of spoil ...

Wash pad and interceptor combi goes to clothes recycling centre

Image
The latest wash pad and interceptor box dispatch  The latest wash pad and interceptor to be provided by Morclean has been to a company in Surrey that specialises in the recycling of used textiles, clothing and shoes. The organisation works with many UK local authorities, supermarkets, waste companies and clothing retailers to collect and recycle unwanted textiles. Every year in the UK approximately 2,000 tonnes of clothing and shoes are sent to landfill!  Requiring equipment to aid in the washing and maintenance of their vehicle fleet, Morclean provided a permanent wash pad complete with the semi-portable Blue Box interceptor system which recycles the effluent produced and contributes to the green ethos of the company.  The permanent surface mounted wash pad is a sealed bund made from a mixture of welded plastic and fibreglass panels, making a solid, impermeable and dedicated liquid containment area for tough applications. It is typically used in heavy ...

‘Morclean are going for gold - but they’re going to be winning with silver’

Image
Most bin wash machines on the market today (previously including Morclean models) have 3 basic stages of filtration which are based on a micron level of fine mesh using industry standard gauze type filters. The water is filtered sufficiently to be perfectly good enough to be re-used throughout the day, but the water isn’t particularly clean given that the operators are washing out contaminated waste bins. If a finer micron filter is used they tend to ‘blind’ (which basically means block) and so filters with large enough holes tend to be used so that water can be re-used all day without blocking. However Morclean have recognised bacteria will build up in the system and the overspray of atomised water from the jet washing activity will contain airborne bacteria. It can be assumed the bacteria would build up and increase and grow during the day. The new Morclean system- How it works Morclean have been developing a new system where we use additional f...

Our Innovative Product is Now Part of a Growing Family

Image
Here at Morclean we've been working hard for over 5 years, developing new and innovative products First came the BlueBox, a totally surface mounted system that eliminates the need for an interceptor. It was closely followed by our GreyBox, which also negates the need for civil works, mess and excavation. Both systems are often installed (but not conditionally) with our hugely successful wash pad. Another totally surface mounted product In order to explain what these products do, and the time and effort they save, we have to share with you (in pictures) the traditional way that involves excavation and civil works.  These are images taken at a project we managed, some time before we designed a better way of treating vehicle wash water, and the below installation took around 2 weeks to complete Now let's look again at an installation that took our team of 2 installers about 3 hours to fit...... Do we need to say more. So what's next...? During the development...

Morclean ‘ Blue Box’ water system Below ground interceptors are reasonably inexpensive but the associated builders costs are considerable (and you can’t remove the interceptor afterwards or relocate to another site) Above ground interceptors take up approx. one car parking space, they’re not particularly pretty things to look at and  not pleasing to the eye when they're sat outside your building either The  Blue Box  is a  surface mounted  system that handles waste water from a wash pad or existing sump, there is minimal installation and  all that is required is a main power supply and a pump fitted to your wash bay sump The  Blue Box  is a surface mounted system that handles waste water from a wash pad or existing sump, there is minimal installation and  all that is required is a main power supply and a pump fitted to your wash bay sump Features Easy to fix/minimal installation All surface mounted No builders...
