Enter the EcoFlex, Morclean's New Semi-Permanent Wash Bay Bund

Image
The Morclean team have been working especially hard this first quarter - none more than the R&D team, and it's definitely showing. If you're looking for a high-quality yet highly-affordable vehicle wash solution,  then Morclean's ne west innovation, the   EcoFlex TM   semi-permanent wash pad, is the ideal option for you. A traditional concrete wash pad can be expensive and not always possible to install, especially in instances where the land is leasehold.  The EcoFlex TM , however, is a sealed, watertight wash bay bund that replaces the need for traditional concrete wash pads and associated excavation works. Once rolled out and unfolded, the semi-permanent mat is fitted to the floor using fast fix bolts, and all  in less than an hour.  The  EcoFlex TM    Wash  Pad is extremely durable, chemical resistant and robust,  accommodating weights of cars, vans and HGV's and  capturing all the water within a 150mm  kerbed bund which can either be discharged to foul

As we're nearing completion and handover of Phase 3 of our Project Cardiff, for a high-end  electric vehicle and clean energy company , we thought we'd share a few photos to show our teams progress at this impressive site. Marketing Mucks in at Project Langar

Image
All was quiet on the social front yesterday, as I embarked on a s ite visit to take photos  of project delivery progress at our Langar project in Nottingham. It's the first time I've seen the excavation stage of a wash bay installation up close and personal, and it was a fascinatingly valuable experience. Health and Safety First Upon approaching Morclean's cordoned-off area, which is under full ownership and control of Morclean or it's subcontractors during works, a vivid blue Morclean H&S station sat at the entrance to the site, The H&S station comes  complete with a visitor and contractor signing-in record book, HSE law poster, first aid box, fire extinguisher, and an accident book, together with a fully stocked first aid kit, As an accredited Safe Contractor, Morclean is fully dedicated to ensuring that health & safety procedures are regularly upgraded and updated in line with legislation, and our H&S Station ticks all of the regulation boxes.

Chester Wash Pad Signed, Sealed and Snapped

Image
A few images, during sign-off, of our recent project in Chester, where we installed a surface-mounted vehicle wash pad and interceptor for a high-end electric car manufacturer. Our surface mounted wash pads are perfect for environments where groundworks are impracticable, or where there is a chance that the company may need to relocate. Quick and simple to install and dismantle, these wash pads ensure that all the wastewater is captured within a drain and a surface mounted sump pump. This can then either be discharged to foul, partially treated via a Morclean BlueBox/GreyBox, or pumped to a water reclaim system. For more information on our wash pad and wash bay projects, contact us on 01246 471147, or at  info@morclean.com , or simply visit our  website  today.

High-Capacity Excavation and Installation at Tranent Site in East Lothian

Image
We're always thrilled when we're advancing projects, and one of our current projects [in East Lothian], which includes the excavation and installation of a 20,000-litre capacity silt trap and a  20,000-litre capacity  interceptor, is well underway and on target.   The site at Tranent has been excavated and the 20CuM3 tanks installed. An additional separator will be installed in Phase 2 alongside a circa 250M2 concrete wash pad.  Phase 3 will then see the installation of two all-electric high-pressure cleaners featuring zero emissions and C02 clean and green fume-free technology to complete this waste transfer site on time! Work Begins on Project Langar for New Wash Bay Facility

Image
Another new wash bay project starts today, this time in Langar, Nottinghamshire, for a well-known company  that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, to name a few.   The  Morclean  team are currently marking out and saw cutting on-site, to follow with excavating for a silt trap, pump chamber, interceptor, and plant room. The wash bay is to be kerbed all round and e nveloped to a 2000mm x 500mm x 1000mm silt trap. We will also be supplying and installing a 650mm x 1000mm PC2000 pump chamber, and the s ilt trap is to pumped to an above-ground interceptor -  all including  the moving and refitting of the GRP plant room and interceptor from their previous depot. Alongside this we will be installing 110mm ducts for power and water,  110mm ducts for 2 hose reels, a trench to manhole for drain outlet, and we are to then backfill and make good, and remove all waste from site. Morclean's New Custom 8, the Only Bin Wash Machine with 8-Stage Water Filtration

Image
Our new Custom 8 Bin Wash system is, as far as we're aware, the only bin wash on the market with 8 stages of water purification.  The NEW  Custom 8  has been designed for those of you that are looking to grow or expand your business, or update your existing machine. Our best-selling  Custom Plus  is well-renowned for its 6-stage water filtration system. However, the new  Custom 8 Bin Wash  prides itself on two extra stages of water filtration! This incredible machine delivers all the same fabulous features like the Custom Plus , but the Custom 8's new  top tray filter provides   the  7th stage  of water filtration and a  mesh bag  that is fitted inside the machine provides the  8th stage . LED backlights  and a  LED beacon , which supply very low heat levels and offer a longer life span, make the machine much more energy-efficient than the competition. Moreover, the Custom 8's  new wheel trims  provide the machine the optimum protection and create an overall aesthet

Progress Persepctive of our 3-Phase Project in Cardiff City

Image
When we're undertaking large projects, we separate the associated work into separate phases to make the project more manageable all-round. With Phase 1 of our Cardiff project already completed, tested, and signed off, we're now well into Phase 2, the plant room fit-out. Phase 1 involved the installation of our innovative surface-mounted wash pad, a Morclean BlueBox water treatment system, and putting the associated pipework in place, whilst Phase 2 , which is being progressed by the Morclean Team as I type, rumbles along nicely in the new plant room. Phase 3 will see the completion of the cladding and roof to the wash bay, which will encase the entire structure to  protect the surrounding area from over-spray of water or detergent and to contain any particles of debris from the item being cleaned. We look forward to bringing you up-to-date images very soon. For more information on our wash bay projects, contact us on 01246 471147, or at  info@morclean.com , or simply v

How what3words has Transformed the Way We Do Business

Image
At Morclean, we undertake a vast amount of project work including excavation, civils, and installations for high-end car marques, national UK car auction sites, major ports, waste transfer stations, recycling depots, municipal/government/council depots, national funeral care, rail, shipping, and more. From the onset, we need to see a site to spec, price, and provide drawings. Normally this involves driving to the site and a physical inspection or site survey. However, it is near impossible for our team to visit every single site. What Location? An on-going issue we used to have with visiting potential projects was finding exact locations. Google earth/ariel views are too wide and general, and definitely not specific enough using a postcode. We often had to find the actual site amongst numerous buildings on an industrial estate. Recent Covid-19 restrictions have been a catalyst in this and have pushed many firms to work smarter. Take Guilford, for example, one of the sites we’re

ThermaFlow Hyrbid - New Low Flow Steam Cleaning Technology

Image
Our R&D department has developed, and recently launched, the new Therma Flow hybrid hot water steam cleaner, a low-flow machine that uses just 7.5 litres per min of water. The genius of this machine, when compared to traditional equivalent jet wash that would produce between 15 and 21 litres per min, is that the  Therma Flow  uses half the water consumption and disposal, resulting in reduced water for sites where drainage is limited or water reclaim is required. If there is no foul drain, there are 2 options because wastewater/wash water must NOT enter a surface drain storm drain or soakaway. T here is either a) less water to tanker away, or b) less water to be recycled if you're using only half the water, and l ess water means less cost and use of water, and less water to buy-in, making the  Therma Flow  e nergy saving, g reen and e fficient.  ✅   Half the water ✅   All the power ✅   Zero emissions ✅   Carbon Neutral  ✅   Innovation at its best For more information about this

On Target with our Scotland Based Wash Bay Project

Image
We're already on Day 5 of our East Lothian Wash bay project. With the site set-out, marked, and cleared, and excavation underway, we're right on target with our timeline. While the on-site team is busy digging, the team back at base wanted to let you know that this exciting turnkey project has been planned and designed to create: ✅   less unusable space  ✅   utilisation of levels that lend themselves to its orientation ✅   less surface water running onto the wash pad ✅   better/easier turning circles for the vehicles  We'll bring you more updates soon, but in the meantime, why don't you take a look at some of our recently completed projects  here  and our past projects  here .  tel: 01246 471147  |  email:  info@morclean.com   |  web:  www.morclean.com

Surface-Mounted Wash Bay Installation in South Wales

Image
Aside from our East Lothian project, we've also start Phase 1 of our Cardiff project today, with the wash pad and steel portal already in place. This South Wales-based project involves the installation of a 40M2 surface mounted fully fitted wash bay, plant room, tech room, drainage, and water treatment in 3 separate phases. The wash bay will be totally surface mounted, which means zero excavation or civil works, and no groundworks or dilapidation. This means also means that our surface-mounted wash pads are perfect for numerous environments including those where there are no foundations, such as multi-story car parks and dual-level parking decks, or sites where groundworks are impractical. Another important factor when considering surface-mounted wash pads over concrete is the fact that they can be easily relocated if a change of premises is required, and there is no dilapidation - meaning that nothing has to be dug up and no holes filled in. You simply dismantle the str
