The Matlock Victorian Christmas Market is celebrating it's 24th year this year and once again Morclean is delighted to be supporting the Christmas Market! Taking place in Matlock's Hall Leys Park the market holds around 200 stalls in two large marquees with an array of items on offer. This year's Victorian Christmas Market will take place on the first weekend in December from Friday 1st December to Sunday 3rd December. This Christmas market isn't just for shopping, there are a whole host of other activities happening throughout the weekend including Santa's grotto, Light's switch-on and fireworks on the Sunday! So, if you're stuck for something to do this weekend, why not pop and visit the shops and cafes in Matlock whilst you're there and warm up with a nice hot chocolate or glass of mulled wine? The market and activities are   free entry and opening times vary so check the Facebook page for more details.

Since October 1st we have been running a free prize draw to all of our customers who buy a Custom Plus Bin Wash machine. On the 2nd-4th of December we helped out at the Matlock Victorian Christmas weekend- a Christmas fair that takes place at the Hall Leys park in Matlock. This year marked the 23rd year the market took place and boasted around 200 stall in 2 marquees across the park. Entertainment was provided throughout the three days with a mix of old favourites and new surprises for 2016- a great event for all of the family. Smooth FM were in the main marquee providing entertainment and offering the chance for one lucky attendee to win a hamper from Marks and Spencer The weekend's highlights included Santa's Grotto, a Christmas parade and a celebrity light switch-on. The town was bustling and a total of 25,000 people attended over the 3 days. Local radio station Smooth FM also attended and played music at the event. The market even boasted some adventurous light displays We enjoyed helping out at this great community event and were happy to lend a helping hand with the organis...

The lovely folk at the National Association of Wheeled Bin Washers sent us this lovely Christmas postcard the other day... thank you for the seasons greetings NAWBW! The card is currently residing on my desk along with my little collection of Christmas cards, just need some tinsel now! Merry Christmas from everyone here at Morclean, NAWBW.

The weather isn't quite perfect for a spot of festive fun BUT in true British style, the show must go on... Matlock tonight will play host to a range of festive events including Late Night shopping (get those purses and wallets dusted!), Dale Divas and Christmas Lights Switch on as well as other events! Shops are open until 8pm so you really have no excuses at all... There was a lovely rainbow over Morclean earlier which I just managed to get a snap of - I thought it might bring you all some good luck with the events tonight... unfortunately there was no pot of gold at the end of it, but you can't have it all! We hope that the independent shops of Matlock have a fantastic event tonight - fun starts at 5pm!

It's creeping closer to that time of year again and Matlock have another event to mark the Christmas season. Most Matlock shops will be opening until 8pm on Thursday 5th December. There will be entertainment from Dale Divas, a Christingle Service, Christmas Tree Lights Switch on, SANTA and much more... make sure you support your local independent shops and support a fantastic Christmas event!
