Project Leeds: Phase One Complete

We’re pleased to share an update on one of Morclean’s latest vehicle wash installation projects in Leeds, where Phase One of the project is now complete.

This project is being delivered as a turnkey solution, with the initial stage focusing on the essential groundworks and below-ground infrastructure required for the new vehicle wash facility.

Groundworks and Preparation

The first phase has involved a range of groundwork and civil engineering activities to prepare the site for the next stage of construction.

Works completed so far include:

• Site setting out
• Excavation and groundworks
• Installation of silt traps
• Installation of catch pits
• Installation of a below-ground interceptor
• Construction of a new concrete slab

With these works now complete, the site is ready to move on to the next important stage of the project.

Preparing for the Wash Bay

The next phase is scheduled to begin in the coming weeks and will see the installation of a steel portal building, incorporating a dedicated internal vehicle wash bay.

The completed facility will provide a purpose-built environment for vehicle washing, with the necessary infrastructure incorporated into the overall design.

Projects such as this demonstrate the importance of considering the complete vehicle wash system from the outset. Effective drainage, water management and treatment are key elements of a well-designed wash bay, and these requirements need to be incorporated during the early stages of construction.
