We are delighted to announce the appointment of Harry Morley, who joined the Morclean team as a trainee in Production & Assembly last week. Harry, who completed secondary school several years ago, will be working in our new production facility assembling our award-winning bin wash machines. From an active sports background, Harry has worked as a sports assistant coach and then a lifeguard. He's also cycled and played rugby for Matlock (Baileans) Rugby Club, and still plays football for a Matlock team. This new hire will bring young and fresh talent into the business, assisting the company in producing its core products to keep pace with current demand. Late last night, Peter (our MD) made his seven millionth trip on the overnight ferry from Hull to Rotterdam this year... maybe that's a slight over exaggeration but you get our drift. Pete is over in Amsterdam for a few days with our Dutch distributors for our Bin Wash machines. With distributors now based in The Netherlands and Poland on the continent, the bin wash machines are widening their horizons. This overnight ferry is becoming as familiar as the j29-j29a stretch of the M1... it doesn't look that welcoming in the chop though!

It's just under two weeks now until Interclean 2014 in Amsterdam. The crate has been packed and shipped with our sparkly binwash machine, demonstration bins and promo literature along with all the boring bits like extra tools and batteries.  As well as all the obvious promotion we've been doing on our social media sites, you can also find us featured in some of the biggest publications in the industry. This week, in preparation for ISSA Interclean 2014 (we're at stand 11.805 for those who are visiting) we, Morclean Bear and I, are working through the marketing and advertising quotes. Maths isn't our strong point mind you which is why we're working together on this one. We've got a list as long as our arms with everything we need to get through so it's going to be a busy few weeks in the office. That said, it will all be worth it in the end! #LoveCurling has been trending pretty much since the Olympics started on Saturday... the BBC and Olympics have managed to get people hooked on Curling, the only sport which involves CLEANING. Obviously, we LOVE it! Here at Morclean we're all about the cleaning! Maybe it's something we should think about expanding into - ice polishing kits? It could take off...
