High-Capacity Excavation and Installation at Tranent Site in East Lothian

Image
We're always thrilled when we're advancing projects, and one of our current projects [in East Lothian], which includes the excavation and installation of a 20,000-litre capacity silt trap and a  20,000-litre capacity  interceptor, is well underway and on target.   The site at Tranent has been excavated and the 20CuM3 tanks installed. An additional separator will be installed in Phase 2 alongside a circa 250M2 concrete wash pad.  Phase 3 will then see the installation of two all-electric high-pressure cleaners featuring zero emissions and C02 clean and green fume-free technology to complete this waste transfer site on time! Work Begins on Project Langar for New Wash Bay Facility

Image
Another new wash bay project starts today, this time in Langar, Nottinghamshire, for a well-known company  that manufactures agricultural, construction, and forestry machinery, to name a few.   The  Morclean  team are currently marking out and saw cutting on-site, to follow with excavating for a silt trap, pump chamber, interceptor, and plant room. The wash bay is to be kerbed all round and e nveloped to a 2000mm x 500mm x 1000mm silt trap. We will also be supplying and installing a 650mm x 1000mm PC2000 pump chamber, and the s ilt trap is to pumped to an above-ground interceptor -  all including  the moving and refitting of the GRP plant room and interceptor from their previous depot. Alongside this we will be installing 110mm ducts for power and water,  110mm ducts for 2 hose reels, a trench to manhole for drain outlet, and we are to then backfill and make good, and remove all waste from site. It's Going to be a Busy, Yet Exciting Year for the Morclean Team!

Image
With over twenty projects at the quoting, planning, or prepping stage, we're all geared up for our busiest year ever.  From Glasgow to Germany, and Stevenage to Spain, we've had a record number of  inquiries for  wash bay, wash pad, jet wash, and interceptor installs  throughout the UK, Scotland, and Europe. Our first project, in East Lothian at the very beginning of March, is a turnkey project that will involve  excavation and civil works to install a new silt trap and pump  chamber, a plant room, and an interceptor, alongside two huge 20CuM3 tanks and a separator. Phew, it's a big job but the type of project we thrive on.   Once we've completed this Scotland based project, we're off to Nottingham to install yet another silt trap, pump chamber, plant room, and interceptor, alongside a brand new jet wash... but more about that later. For now, we'll concentrate on East Lothian, bringing you regular updates throughout each phase.  To see ou...

We're Still on Track... Morclean Celebrates Project Progress

Image
Morclean’s vehicle wash bay projects are a fundamental part of the business. S ince the turn of the new century - f rom concept and design, right through to civils and installation - our team has delivered countless successful turnkey projects throughout the UK and beyond  with a gritty determination and focus to deliver on time, and on budget. From Morclean's early beginnings as a supplier of mobile hot water jet wash machines, we eventually added hot static/fixed hot water machines to our portfolio in the late 80’s. In the early '90s, we began supplying fuel tanks and accessories - such as hose reels, user posts, remote controls, etc. - with the machine.  We continued to evolve, supplying housing/GRP, gantries, silt traps, interceptors, and water reclaim systems.  Then, in the early 2000s, Morclean did one of its early civils projects, where the team installed silt traps, interceptors, and a wash bay. We were hooked! Gradually increasing our workload year-on-yea...

East Lothian Wash Bay Project Scheduled for a Spring Start

Image
The Morclean team has been involved in the planning and design of a new wash bay plant on a site in East Lothian for over a year, but after a somewhat tumultuous period of time, we're now ready to make a start in Spring.  The turnkey project will involve excavation and civil works to install two large 20CuM3 interceptors, and an additional separator, with a complete wash bay to follow. The wash bay is to be squared off, which should result in; less unusable space  utilisation of levels that lend themselves to its orientation less surface water running onto the wash pad better/easier turning circles for the vehicles  Morclean is to saw cut and peck out the area, ensuring that it is fully  isolated, whilst following stringent Health & Safety (H&S) procedures throughout. Morclean Battling the Weather at Worcester

Image
We're now three-quarters of the way through our Worcester project, and despite the inconsistent and rather grim weather we've been experiencing these past few weeks, we're pretty much on track to be finished by the Friday or, at the very latest, the beginning of next week - rain permitting! The UK's unpredictable downpours have meant that concrete deliveries have been postponed, but Project Worcester is almost complete, with the Morclean Team doing all they can to handover this wash bay on time. Worcester Wash Bay Project Under Way

Image
Morclean has been busy prepping our most recent project site in Worcester, ready for the first fix and install.  The project, which is for a power generator company  w ashing heavy-duty generators, will involve the  installation of a wash pad and interceptor. Our first job, Phase 1, was to clear the steels, remove old railway sleepers and begin excavating this former builders' merchant's site,   all ready for the installation of a new wash bay facility. Phase 2 will involve saw cutting and excavating for installation of a silt trap and interceptor [with s ome items to remain above ground to reduce excavation], alongside a wash  pad with user posts and hose reels for jet washing. Phase 2 to follow shortly... Looking to the Future in North East Wales

Image
We' re already lining up projects for Spring 2021,  and are extremely excited about our new and upcoming vehicle wash project in Denbighshire, for the washing of  refuse trucks and council vehicles. This project will involve a whole host of works, including supply, civils, installation of a water management system (silt trap, GRP plant room, advanced media filter), a cleaning system (twin hot water cabinet jet wash, user posts, hose reels), and below ground items (interceptor, silt trap, buffer tank), alongside ongoing services. Above and below are examples of a past project we undertook, which is very similar to the works that will be undertaken in North East Wales. Our  Morclean H&S Station will also be delivered to the site prior to the start of the works... Phew, what a welcome challenge to hopefully a more positive year for everyone.  Roll on 2021!

Morclean Wash Pad Projects, Set In Concrete

Image
Our projects are an important part of what we do. From installing slit traps and interceptors; diverter chambers and water storage tanks; through to undertaking civils and groundworks, we are a one-stop-shop for providing wash bay solutions to problems that countless companies are experiencing when it comes to collecting, storing, and diverting water. Our most recent project in Hale is a prime example of the dedication we put into making sure that every step is executed properly, and well within timescales. The installation of a  silt trap and diverter chamber,  which diverts the water between wastewater and groundwater when it is raining ,  means our client will be able to wash highways agency vehicles and salt gritters happy in the knowledge that the wastewater will be collected safely and securely, and with ease.
