The Matlock Victorian Christmas Market is celebrating it's 24th year this year and once again Morclean is delighted to be supporting the Christmas Market! Taking place in Matlock's Hall Leys Park the market holds around 200 stalls in two large marquees with an array of items on offer. This year's Victorian Christmas Market will take place on the first weekend in December from Friday 1st December to Sunday 3rd December. This Christmas market isn't just for shopping, there are a whole host of other activities happening throughout the weekend including Santa's grotto, Light's switch-on and fireworks on the Sunday! So, if you're stuck for something to do this weekend, why not pop and visit the shops and cafes in Matlock whilst you're there and warm up with a nice hot chocolate or glass of mulled wine? THE NEW MORCLEAN VANS Morclean are pleased to welcome to the fleet, 2 new Toyota Proace Vans. The vans have joined the fleet at Morclean and are ready to start work on the road soon! The new Toyota Proace vans are ready to be wrapped in graphics by the lovely people down at Excel Printing , then they're ready to hit the road! Look out for the new vans on the roads and motorways near you, and don't forget to give us a wave when you see us out and about!

It's the final day at the Scotland Cleaning Expo at the Glasgow SECC today. If you pop along to stand C1, this is what you'll find... Our Wheelie Bin Wash machine is taking pride of place at the stand. Morclean are proud to continue their sponsorship of Matlock Rugby club. As the season draws to a close it's been another good year for local rugby; we like to support our local teams and grass roots sports.  Matlock rugby club is situated at Cromford meadows (just on the outskirts of Matlock) and welcomes all ages and abilities to the sport. Just a quick little update to ask for your help.  Local Matlock business owner Lindsey Adderson is raising vital funds for Ashgate Hospice in loving memory of her daughter Jessica who sadly passed away. Lindsey, owner of Smiggle Kitchen , is hosting a cake, canape and cocktail party to raise money for the fantastic hospice and is asking for donations towards the hospice who are only partially government funded. As soon as I stumbled across this story I knew it would be one you would all like to hear. We all know that graffiti can be unsightly, and sometimes just inappropriate but there are some graffiti artists out there worthy of a wall or two to brighten up or spread a  message - people like Banksy would be the most obvious choice, but there are other graffiti artists out there including an artist by the name of DS. Graffiti artist DS hit the news earlier this year with his Hello Kitty 'turned bad' creations. After he stenciled one onto a building in London, only to see it removed less than 24 hours later, he decided to spread a bit of graffiti irony. He decided to graffiti the same wall with the image of the graffiti remover... making this graffiti remover infamous! (photos are copyright of the Caters News Agency - we do not own any of the photographs) A really clever idea and I'm sure the remover was flattered... we're not too sure how quickly he removed this peice, ...

It's creeping closer to that time of year again and Matlock have another event to mark the Christmas season. Most Matlock shops will be opening until 8pm on Thursday 5th December.
