Matlock Fest - When, Where, Who?

Matlock Fest is getting tons of support and interest, so here's a little more info on the events and activities on each day!  There's so much to do each day you will be spoilt for choice.  18th July  Evening Monk Bar is hosting an Unplugged night, featuring Black Hands, Echoed In Earth and Jason Barker.  FREE ENTRY The Loft : Have a good old giggle at Nik Coppin's Comedy Selection. You may have seen our post about Matlock Festival 18-21st July . Tickets for all the events are available from  Little Gem and Black Hippo  in Matlock.  There are LIMITED numbers for the events. In the evnt that there are tickets left over, they will be available on the door. Don't miss out, get yours now!  SOME events are free of charge in any case, so do check on the event flyer, the official festival website or the facebook page for which events needs a ticket.

The Matlock Festival 18-21st July In a few weeks time, get ready for the spectacular Matlock Festival! It is a four day event absolutely PACKED with fun things to keep everyone entertained!  It all starts on Thursday Evening, with comedy and music at a couple of venues in Matlock Centre. On Friday evening there are two free events at bars in Matlock, an acoustic night at TewntyTen and a range of local talent playing at the Black Hippo. You could pop in to them both as they are completely free of charge!  Saturday the 20th is when the daytime activities begin, and there is much to see and do in the gloriously picturesque Hall Leys Park. There will be a climbing wall, children's rides, storytelling, demonstrations of Rock crawling by Xtreme, and a Jazz Trio to produce a lovely ambience as you stroll round the park. ATEX and other vacs

ATEX vacuums continue to be very popular this week, Morclean have sold a number of them up and down the country! ATEX and H-type vacs have been selling super fast, from London to just down the road in Sheffield!  The ATEX certification  means that these machines are suitably equipped for the safe removal of substances that are hazardous to health. This could be any kind of dust that is prone to explosion. The machines are built to a recognised standard that ensures safe use and disposal. Matlock Golf Club Junior Open

Matlock Golf Club Junior Open sponsored by Morclean Ltd  A highly successful and for once a dry day for Matlock Golf Club Junior Open on Thursday 30th May 2013 generously sponsored by Morclean of Chesterfield. The course was playing long and difficult after all the recent rain but the scores reflect the very good level of play by many of the 50 strong field. Once again a very tight finish for the prestigious Matlock Junior Open Cup. Two boys - James Lewis of Burton on Trent Golf Club and Jordan Moseley of Chevin Golf Club both scored 77 gross, both had 10 handicaps, both finished on 67 nett. After a countback on the back 9, then the back 6 and finally on the back 3 it was won by James Lewis with Jordan taking the 1st nett prize in Div. 1 George Hodson-Walker from Ashbourne GC also had a near miss with a gross 76 nett 68 and finished with 2nd nett in Div. 1 with Ashley Wain of Burton in 3rd place gross 77 nett 70. 1st Gross was won ...
