Morclean's Project Journey - Phase 5: Project Closure
The final and most fundamental stage of our project planning journey, where we complete the steps needed to close and deliver the finished project to the client, is called Project Closure, or the Post-Mortem/Follow-Up phase.
In the closing phase, we communicate completion to the stakeholders and release resources to other projects, allowing our team to evaluate and document the project in order to move on to the next one. The project manager identifies the project’s strengths, valuable team members, what went wrong, how things can be rectified in the future, and any takeaways from the project.
By exploiting previous project mistakes and successes, it enables us to build stronger processes and more successful teams for the future, helping us to approach our projects with even more enthusiasm and dedication.
Oh, and this is where we celebrate! 🎉
