Morclean's Project Journey - Phase 4: Project Monitoring & Control

Phase 4 (Week 4) of our Morclean project journey is all about making sure that things run smoothly and according to plan. Measuring progress and overall performance to ensure that everything aligns with our project management plan.

This is where we review, track progress, and make adjustments to the project plan, if necessary, to deliver it in the best possible way, following key performance indicators (KPI's) such as:

  • Project objectives: ensuring that the project stays on schedule at the desired budget to meet the expectations of the client.
  • Cost tracking: tracking variations from allotted cost and time.
  • Quality deliverables: determining if deliverables are being met, or not.
  • Project performance: taking into account any changes made in the project due to scope-creep, while measuring the project's overall progress.
This dogged determination and persistent vigilance helps keep the project moving ahead smoothly, dealing with any issues that arise and underpinning the scope and strategy. Taking us to our last stage, and the most rewarding part of the project journey, Stage 5 - Project Closure, which we will cover next week.
