Morclean's Project Journey - Phase 3: Project Execution

Week 3 / Phase 3: Project Execution

Once all of the planning is in place, we can move on to Phase 3, the execution stage, where our team is off and running. This is where we collaborate with all involved, reviewing work, presenting to stakeholders, and revising, if necessary, any parts of the initial plan.

In this step of the project management lifecycle, our project manager is responsible for:

  • Resource Planning
  • Meeting Management
  • Timeline Management
  • Change Management
  • Risk Management
  • Quality Management
  • Budget Management
  • Communications and Facilitation
  • Internal Deliverable Reviews
The execution phase, which is also known as the implementation phase, is all about building deliverables that satisfy the client. Relying heavily on the planning phase, we have to ensure that the work and efforts of our team are aligned to the project plan and that each member of the team is completely focused on their assigned tasks.

As the main objective is to achieve results that meet the requirements and were agreed-upon initially. Morclean's Project Manager ensures that we stick to the plan and remain tuned-in to what’s happening with the team via regular team check-ins, conversations, status reports, timeline reviews, and budget tracking.

Next week, we discuss the 4th step in our Project Journey - Phase 4: Project Monitoring and Control.
