Time for the Slow Rally 2024
It's that time of year again! Time for the Slow Rally 2024!
The Slow Rally is a fantastic even that takes place annually in Guastalla, Northern Italy. It's the race where the winner comes in LAST place!
This year marks the 10th edition of the popular event, and it is all set to take place on Friday 11th October 2024 at 5pm.
Our MD Peter Morley will be there to cheer on the slow racers, as they make their way slowly around the beautiful Italian town of Guastalla.
The event encourages car enthusiasts to join in, and an array of beautiful and interesting cars can be seen ambling around the picturesque Italian cobbled streets. More and more classic cars take part in the Slow Race each year, it is great to see that it's popularity is ever growing with the potential to raise more money for the fantastic causes. Our esteemed disabled guests can even request a ride around in the cars - experiencing the city in style.
Slow and steady winds the race - in this event the very slowest is claimed the victor!
This is all to raise money for two excellent organisations, Anffas (based in Reggio, Italy) and Fairplay (Based in Chesterfield, UK).
Anffas works to help all people with disabilities and provide support for their families. Anffas represents all families of people with disabilities and believes that the family is the most important basis for the future of people with disabilities.
Fairplay
Fairplay
Fairplay supports children and young people with disabilities and additional needs, and their families, across North Derbyshire. Fairplays services offer families the support that they need and gives them opportunities to take part in positive experiences that make a real difference to their lives.
Peter Morley MD of Morclean says:
“I’m not climbing mountains, riding a bike, or running a marathon in order to raise money, but we do provide direct support and money to both charities while providing a memorable day for all the participants.
The winner is the car that’s slowest to come in around the 5 laps, circulating the central piazza of Guastalla, with disabled guests enjoying a ride in a fabulous selection of cars. That’s great for anyone involved, and really lucky for anyone that has the opportunity to enter the race as a passenger – even I don’t get to ride in any of these fabulous cars!
"Last year’s event saw even more collectable cars entering the annual race, where the winner comes last! We’re proud to support the Slow Rally again this time. It’s also remarkable to note that this is now the 10th edition - an achievement in itself for all those involved in organising orchestrating the event.
Thanks for your support, and here's where you can donate”
