How Effective is Hot Water for Weed Control? Before & Afters

Image
How Effective is Hot Water for Weed Control?  Here at Morclean we are carrying out some tests to demonstrate the effectiveness of using hot water weed control. There are some scientific studies already out there that point to hot water being the most effective way to control weeds. However, we wanted to put that to our own test and see the results for ourselves! In the video below you can see some before and afters. Morclean went to a site to record the weeds at different times, before application, during, immediately after, and we then returned 48 hours later to see the true results of the application.  The new Morclean Weed Control System requires just hot water, and absolutely no harsh chemicals. As you can see from the video - it really does provide great results. The Morclean Weed Control keeps the hot water at a consistent high temperature. This allows the heat to penetrate the membrane of the weed and go all the way through to the roots. It essentially cooks the p...

Project Pembroke - a long term installation by Morclean

Image
The latest installation project for Morclean is in Pembroke, Wales.  Morclean are tasked with installing a Wash Bay, a silt trap and interceptor, a large wash bay canopy, complete with a roof and a jet wash.  This is a long term phased project taking place over six months. We like to work closely with our clients on a time frame that best suits them and their business.  This is a civil works project, which means that Morclean work to technical specifications, specific requirements and closely follow regulations. We also balance this with considering completion deadlines, customer budgets, the best materials to use for the job.  We created the complete package for this job for the customer, taking all of the above into consideration. We supply all the materials, custom build and fit everything, and present it to the customer as a finished item - a turnkey project.  The water tanks are below ground interceptors. These can take a lot of preparation to install, and ...

New and Improved - Morclean's IBC VAC

Image
The Morclean High Capacity IBC VAC First of all, what is IBC? IBC = Intermediate Bulk Container. They also are sometimes referred to as an IBC tote or tank. IBCs were designed to contain liquid, including things such as food ingredients, chemicals, solvents and pharmaceuticals. They are also a way to safely transport these liquids once they are contained.  Our IBC Vac is purposely designed around a standard Intermediate Bulk Container and uses the 1000 litre capacity of the IBC to contain the liquid. This is quite unusual, as most wet pick up vacuums have a capacity of just 10-100 litres. Best of all, Morclean's IBC VAC does not need larger 3 phase and 415v motors and can run perfectly on a standard 240v supply.  The wet vacuum cleaner has a twin motor and is extremely high performance, displaying a high delivery rate for large amounts of fluid. 240v by-pass motors do the hard work of moving the fluid to to the purpose built container. The container itself is, important...

The very first Interclean show that Morclean ever exhibited at was in 2014, 10 years ago! 10 whole years since Morclean set foot in the RAI as an exhibitor.  Setting up for our very first Interclean in 2014 The Morclean team had visited for many years before that, but the team were thrilled to load up the truck in the UK all those years ago! The prepping and preparing for a big show like Interclean takes a lot of time and effort.  The Morclean team set off for the ferry, and all made it there in one pi...

'Nothing grows but weeds!'

Image
There is a saying that goes:  'without hard work, nothing grows but weeds.' Weeds have a habit of popping up where least expected, and can get in to every nook and cranny in the garden. You may be familiar with weed killers, with strong chemicals and harsh polluting ingredients. These can be damaging to the plants in the soil, and will also work it's way into water sources.  The best way to control weeds is with Morclean's Weed Control System. This new system uses hot water ONLY to control weeds, and has fantastic results.  It is much kinder to the environment, respectful of the other plants in the area, and you can direct the water only in the areas you need. Water is completely safe and leaves behind no harmful residues - excess water will soak in to the grassy or soil area, or evaporate away and just leave the brown dishevelled weed behind.  Caution is needed in the application process, as of course the hot water could scald if used incorrectly. But the extra long...
