Bespoke high-pressure salt-water cleaning solutions for seafaring underwater services company
There's never a dull (or quiet) moment at Morclean. The constant drive to develop new systems and equipment to meet ever-evolving market and customer demand is what has helped carry us to where we are today. A bustling manufacturing unit that produces sharp ideas to help us stay ahead of the competition and continuously improve on every front. And the dedicated office team that deals with the raft of new equiries, machine orders and unique requests that come through the door.
The in-house R&D team is currently in the process of designing a new modular system for a client in the Canary Isles that undertakes underwater repairs and maintenance on small handcrafted fishing boats, all the way through to big petrol rigs.
The specialist company, who also delivers a quick-response rescue and refloatment service to carry a crew to safety, needs specialist equipment to tackle specific jobs. These jobs includes hull cleaning, seachest cleaning, propeller polishing, blanking and sealing, anode changing, cutting and welding, docking works, pontoon services, photos and T.V. to perform photo reports, sand dredging, creating beaches, installing buoys repairing quaysides, and more…
The issue that the underwater company faced was the restrictions on site for max dims of the 2 pump/twin machine, as the twin machine was too large to fit through doors, stairs, etc.
For use with salt/sea water on a vessel, this new 500 bar high-pressure machine will allow for manoeuvrement on the vessel through narrow doors and staircases.
There are no catalogued or standard machines to match the required pressure and flow that new system provides. Made up of 2 parts, the high-pressure salt-water cleaning machine is then bolted together. This stage is the steel frames and build. The machine will then be powder coated and wired up to control panels and switches, etc.
All very exciting for us and for our client to receive a viable solution to their problem, with updates coming soon!
