The 11th Slow Rally: Celebrating Fun, Community, and Inclusion in Guastalla

It’s that time of year again! The much-loved Slow Rally in Guastalla, Northern Italy, returns for its 11th edition on Friday the 17th of October—but this isn’t your average motorsport event. Here, the slowest driver wins, showcasing a celebration of fun, community, and heartfelt purpose.

A Race Like No Other

Picture this: classic and collectible cars gliding—not racing—through the cobbled streets of Guastalla’s piazza, each human-powered moment measured against a simple twist: the slower you finish, the better your chance of victory. It’s not just a race; it’s an experience rich with laughter, camaraderie, and momentous memories.

Drivers, Guests, and Smiles All Around

The real stars? Not the cars, but the incredibly brave and joyous disabled guests, who get to ride as passengers, soaking in cheers, horns, and the buzz of the crowd. A true moment of joy and connection, it’s a reminder that inclusivity and delight go hand in hand.

Fueling Change: Generosity Meets Celebration

More than a quirky race, it’s a vital fundraiser: all donations go directly to two incredible charities—

  • Anffas in Italy, supporting families living with developmental disabilities

  • Fairplay in Chesterfield, UK, with a similar mission of support and opportunity

Morclean is proud to be a steadfast supporter, ensuring 100% of generosity makes its way to the individuals who need it most—no deductions, no fuss.

Peter Morley, the Managing Director at Morclean, reflects:

“I’m not climbing mountains, riding a bike, or running a marathon… but we do provide direct support and money to both charities while providing a memorable day for all the participants.”
He’s shared more than financial backing—he’s joined dinners, walked alongside guests in Guastalla’s streets, and connected deeply with the individuals whose lives are touched by this event.

Over A Decade of Slow, Meaningful Racing

Year after year, the Slow Rally has grown—drawing more vintage cars, more laughter, and more impact. In recent years, the vibrant event saw greater participation and raised more funds, with participants and volunteers alike reinforcing the joy and purpose that the rally carries forward.

Why the Slow Rally Matters

  • It’s about connection: Breaking down barriers through joy and shared experiences

  • It’s purposeful: Raising funds directly for those who need them, with full transparency

  • It’s inclusive: Ensuring disabled individuals experience the thrill and affection of a festive event firsthand
