Matlock Fest 2013 - Sunday Funday!

What a weekend!

The whole four days of Matlock Festival 2013 have been an absolute blast! Hall Leys Park was packed Saturday and Sunday. It's a shame the sun didn't make more of an appearance, but that didn't stop anyone enojoying the festival.

I was lucky enough to enjoy the whole Sunday in glorious Matlock, and had a fantastic time!

Here are a few things I cast my eye on...

Rides for the kids! The park was full of families enjoying their selves - there was a climbing wall and racing remote control cars too!

Beautiful music from the brass band set a wonderful background to the goings on

Sponsored by us!

I love Ewe!

Ales galore! The food stalls were really amazing - so many excellent local businesses and produce! YUM.

Loved the hand written signs that accompanied many of the stalls.

And even a demo of how the products were handmade!

The Maazi curry stand smelt amazing!

Ding Dong

Condiments. Every festival needs 'em.

The menacing Stormtroopers....

...Turned out to be pleasant chaps!

Park memorial

The food stalls were fantastic! Spoilt for choice, so many delicious things on offer! I was torn between wood fired pizza and a Maazi curry...

Alien Tent!

I couldn't resist a Tiffin Box in the end. It was SO good.

Also cream tea featuring the BIGGEST scone ever seen.

The craft stalls on the tennis courts were really lovely! It's so great to see independent companies doing things they love. I may have even bought some things for myself...all in the name of supporting local business, of course!

The finale of the festival took place here - the newest venue in Matlock - the Loft!
The Sneaky Peeky cabaret was really brilliant! I enjoyed every single act - the burlesque ladies were mesmerizing!  Including Lulu Belle Ferrari, Cherry Blossoms, Dolly Diamante and the Trudy Licious Ladies! The compère for the evening, Danny Ward, was hilarious and did a great job of keeping the many acts flowing.

There was also magician Duncan William, who really wowed the audience with tricks and mind reading!
All in all a wonderful way to spent a Sunday Evening.

So pleased how successful the Matlock festival has been, and a MASSIVE well done to all of the organisers who put in so much effort to get all of the Festival smooth running. Morclean are really proud to sponsor such a great event.

What  was your favourite part of the festival? We are looking forward to next years already!
