Morclean Wash Pads, an Exciting Innovation

Image
Morclean Wash Pads An article composed by  Clare - Marketing Let's start with an interesting fact not everyone will be aware of... "Pollution of surface waters and groundwater.  It is an offence for anyone to cause or knowingly permit: The entry into surface waters or groundwater of solid waste matter, or of poisonous, noxious or polluting matter, or the discharge of trade and sewage effluent into surface waters or groundwater without prior consent from the Environmental Regulator." So, in short, if your contaminated water is not being collected and disposed of in the appropriate manner, the law is being broken. Morclean have constructed a whole range of solutions that not only satisfy current legislation for the containment and disposal of water, but also eradicate the need for any excavation or below ground installations. If that wasn't enough, Morclean also offer a bespoke D esign and Build service, with each produced unit having a unique registr

Another shipment to Holland - and more than meets the eye!

So here's an innocent looking pallet, with a fairly standard looking machine strapped on top. However there seemed to be something special about this consignment and I wanted to find out why So I asked our MD Peter Morley what this was, why, what and where, and it turns out here's what it's all about... Morclean were approached by De Hoop Shipyard some time ago, and the specification they asked for was a little different. What's basically a wall mounted pressure washer had to be fitted out to a particular spec to meet the criteria set by the shipyard, that included several unique changes to the machine But what's all the song and dance about? Well this sin't one machine, it's a series of units - a number of them leave our gates every month. De Hoop have over 120 years experience in the shipbuilding industry and were founded in 1889. The ship yard focusses on design and engineering of custom specialist vessels and Morclean are delighted to

Little black boxes to Tirana Airport

Image
There's  a few more  little black boxes heading off to Tirana Airport today, but what's inside them? Our team have been busy packing and dispatching again this week! There's nothing unusual for us to be exporting, and this is no exception. It's not the first time we've sent machines to Tirana Airport either and these machines fly off later today So, what's inside? Basically vacuum cleaners - but anyone 'in the know' knows that vacs used on aircraft are a little bit different.  Aircraft spec vacs must be 110 volts and 400 Hz, these machines are specially made for the arduous industry where machines are used heavily during aircraft turn-rounds

Ford Main Dealers install Morclean wash pad and GreyBox

Image
Ford Main Dealers Frank G Gates Ltd, with 6 dealerships across Hertfordshire and Essex are due to commence building works soon on their brand new FordStore in Edinburgh Way, Harlow, Essex . During the build Gates have moved into temporary premises and required a solution for cleaning of New, Used and Service vehicles, including light commercials.  Gates Ltd  did not have an interceptor in the location, they  had  planned to do the car cleaning and the cost to install a regular interceptor was cost prohibitive as a temporary solution and so they set about looking for alternatives. This is when we came across the Wash Pad and Grey Box solution from Morclean. John Belton Director – Gates FordStore at Harlow said… “The Morclean wash pad and GreyBox will allow us to continue cleaning the cars as normal whilst complying with the relevant laws" The Morclean wash pad  The new   Permanent Surface Mounted Wash Pad   is typically used  where there is a need to

Just a thank you from everyone at Morclean

As reported we had a great time at The Manchester Cleaning Show and we'd just like to say thanks Thank you to all the organisers, visitors and customers who visited the show - and especially to those who took the time to look at our new 2016 bin wash machine on stand A30 Of course an extra thank you to the BBC Breakfast Team for their time at the show, raising the profile of the whole industry, and for all their efforts

Post Show round up - now it's time to get serious

Image
The show is over, and we've packed up our bin wash machine ready to head home. So what's the verdict? Firstly, we enjoyed it. There was a fantastic response with thousands of visitors and we personally loved every minute. We launched our new 2016/17 bin wash at the show and exhibiting in Manchester is a first. But was it all worth it? To start with, we received a good number visitors to our stand and enjoyed a good number of solid and genuine enquiries. We were complimented on the standard of our stand display and graphics too Then, let's look at the business we did on the day. It's not common, for specialist machinery of this type, so receive orders on the day. However due to the queues outside the show it opened early and we'd sold the show machine by 10am Our MD Peter Morley said "it was simply incredible, the doors opened at around 9.30am half an hour early, and by just before 10am we had actually sold the show machine on the stand" O

The Manchester Cleaning Show

Image
Here at the Manchester Cleaning Show, things just got live. And 'live' it was - with the BBC Breakfast Show present too... Exhibitions are hard work but fun, and hopefully they're worthwhile. And this show was no exception; Exhibiting at the show brought in numerous enquiries, and we even sold a machine off the stand - but the exhibition was also covered by the BBC Breakfast team MD Peter Morley (left) with Steph McGovern and Sales Director Rob Green The organisers had made everyone  aware that the BBC would be filming on the first day, and it would seem that  The Manchester Cleaning Show has seen a fantastic response with thousands attending and incredible PR coverage from BBC Breakfast, BBC Radio 5 Live, BBC North West regional coverage; as well as printed regional newspaper coverage and trade press support. So how about our 15 minutes of fame? Firstly Steph McGovern was a lovely and down to earth person making us welcome from the first moment. During the

Manchester Cleaning Show - a great success

We've had a great few days in Manchester at the New Manchester Cleaning Show, the UK's newest industry show. So where do we start first? Let's tell you about the important bit first and get down to business. This is a first for the region, and the show was held at Manchester's Event City just next to The Trafford Centre. It's  also a great venue and easy to reach (and park!) Leading up to the show, the organisers kept everyone informed and we saw the pre-registered visitors data increase week by week, from 1000 pre-registrations to eventually over 2300 visitors The set up for the show, as usual, was hectic and busy, with around 70 exhibitors setting up stands, graphics and machines We were no exception - our graphics team setting up the backdrop and our sales team wheeling in the machine.  Overall we had a great show, we received numerous enquiries for our trailer mounted bin wash machine and received lots of visitors to the stand (A30) Mo
